A gentle place to begin

Faith can grow in the middle of ordinary family life.

You do not need a perfect lesson, a quiet house or a long plan. Open the Bible, share one clear truth and make space for your child to wonder and respond.

  • Read the actual Bible passage before explaining it.
  • Use one truthful sentence that a young child can hold onto.
  • Let children listen, move, point, draw, answer or pass.

How to use Hearts & Hands

Three gentle ways to begin.

01

Begin small

Choose one Bible passage, one big truth and one response. Young children learn through warm repetition, so returning to a favourite is welcome.

02

Read first

Open the Bible and read the passage before telling it in simple words. Let Scripture lead the conversation rather than using it as a decoration.

03

Invite, never pressure

A child may listen, move, point, draw, answer or pass. Prayer and conversation stay invitational, calm and safe.
