After a long day of teaching, Jesus and his friends crossed the lake in a little boat. Jesus rested while the water was calm.
Then the wind rushed in. The waves splashed over the sides and the friends were frightened. They woke Jesus and called for help.
Jesus stood and spoke to the wind and the water. The storm became still. His friends wondered, “Who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?”
