Read John 10:11-15 and Psalm 23 together. This short retelling supports Scripture; it does not replace it.
The little sheep had wandered farther than it meant to. The hills felt wide and the evening shadows had grown long.
But the shepherd was still watching. He knew every path and every sheep. He searched carefully, lifted the tired little one and carried it home.
Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd.” He knows his people, leads them and gives himself for them. We can bring our fears to him and follow his voice.
Wonder together
- What did you notice?
- What does this show us about God or Jesus?
- What could we pray after reading this?
Prayer and conversation stay gentle. A child may listen, point, answer or pass.
